Due to the unique
and varied needs of the youth, the Youth Ministry emphasizes personal faith
development, biblical training, family ties and social development. Our
philosophy is stated succinctly in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child
in the way he should go and when his is old he will not depart from it."
Overall Youth Ministry
Goals:
That each youth mature in their personal relationship with
God as we conform to the image of Christ.
That our leaders demonstrate a commitment to Christ by
showing the youth the value of following Christ and assist them in having the
desire to make a commitment to Christ and enjoy the fellowship with Him.
To be service oriented by placing others above ourselves so
we may serve others as Christ served.
To have all youth experience the church family as a steady
source of love, acceptance, and support, plus good role models of a
Christ-centered life.
To provide opportunities, encouragement, and training with
which our youth can develop leadership skills that will ignite within them a
desire to serve the body and others fruitfully.
To be motivated to think and act morally out of respect for
who we are in Christ.
To promote excellence by recognizing youth for their
achievements and accomplishments.
