HAYWARD BETHEL

– ABOUT -

Born in South Bend, Indiana, Hayward Bethel grew up in Sandusky, Illinois. After serving 42 years of faithful combined active duty/federal service in the United States Armed Forces, working in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Field, Hayward now devotes his life to speaking, writing, enjoying family, friends, and volunteering his services in his local community. He is a graduate of Texas State University and holds a BAAS Degree in Management.

Hayward has written numerous articles for various magazines and newspapers. He has many published poems and short stories to his credit. His works can be seen throughout the United States and Europe.

Hayward holds the Editors Choice Award for his poem entitled “The Homeless” and was inducted into Poetry Elite in 2000. His works are featured in various anthologies. His first book, Hayward’s Humor, was published in 1999 and some of the poems from the book may be viewed on the Internet at www.austinauditions.com

A positive thinker, Hayward Bethel believes that each one of us has been blessed with a God-given talent. He has tried to enhance his own talents and shares them with others. His first book of poetry entitled “Hayward’s Humor” provides a humble glance at an imperfect world, with delights and sorrows. The saving merits are: having faith, the strength of family, the treasure of friendship, a spirit of giving, and maintaining a sense of balance.

Hayward Bethel’s speaking career spans the 1980s to the present. He speaks not only to the heart, but also from the heart. Hayward brings to his presentations a love of storytelling, humor, poetic verse, and song.

He has earned many coveted awards for his speaking abilities, and his most recent achievement was receiving his Competent Toastmasters Award from Toastmasters Inc. His ability to deliver messages of humor, spirit filled hope, motivation, and inspiration, delights people from all walks of life.
